Nearly one week already passed by and my Vietnamese is not getting any better,
but the language is very nice and I like it that you have to speak Vietnamese because nobody speaks English.
In general Vietnam is a lot more chilled than India, where you ALWAYS have to cover your shoulders and knees and you can also go out at night which you couldn't as a woman in India.
The heat is killing you though, you get sweaty doing just two steps.
The Peace house where I live with the other Volunteers has a roof which is very popular to go to at night -> amazing view! and the house is in a construction area which is called COMA 6. Coma sáu in Vietnamese. So on the roof there is a big sign saying COMA 6....
so what can you do on the roof?
COMA SAU...FEN ? ... whatever...
I am working in a so called "friendship village" which is a home to disabled children.
They are all very sweet but don't understand any English at all so the communication is in
sign language.
Thumbs up ! down ! or just smile =D
Taking the bike for a ten minute ride to go to the friendship village is dusty and wet.
Cause for an unknown reason the roads are always wet here and you have to wear a mouth
and nose mask otherwise you are not able to breath at all.
Phở is very nice, Vietnamese noodle soup, but I definitely won't try dog meat which they sell EVERYWHERE!
Tạm biệt !
